Most of the time, after a virus infection the option "show hidden files" cannot be shown.

1° – update your antivirus – scan and clean your computer
2° – after that, if the "show hidden files" option doesn't work, you have to change some values at the registry base
3° – click on "start" – "run" – type "regedit" and click "OK"
4° – now, you can see the registry base:
go at:
HKEY_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\EXPLORER\ADVANCED\FOLDER\HIDDEN\SHOWALL
change the values to:
CheckedValue=1
DefaultValue=0
then go at:
HKEY_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\EXPLORER\ADVANCED\FOLDER\HIDDEN\NOHIDDEN
change the values to:
CheckedValue=0
DefaultValue=0
5° – close it and restart your computer and that's it
