Here is my Acer Aspire One D257 with tripleboot.
The original OS in this netbook were: windows 7 starter and android 2.3.1 (dualboot)
why do I change to tripleboot?
1° – Because I don't like the dualboot system by Acer: when I start the netbook, I don't have the choice between windows or android: it always starts with android first and wait for 5seconds before changing to windows. Or, I have to set to boot directly to windows (so no choice to go on android)
2° – Because not enough space (only 2Go) to add video and music inside the android. I tried to get more space by moving partition but no success.
So finally, I decided to reorganise all the system inside.
I get a Windows 7 Pro (with licence 😎 ) – I download android x86 4.0.2 RC2 and puppy linux 5.
With the tripleboot:
1° – at the start, I can choose which system I want to use
2° – the windows 7 pro has more features than the windows 7 starter
3° – with puppy linux and android x86 4.0.2: the netbook is more faster than with the windows
4° – I get more space on the harddrive for the android (7Go now)
5° – With the original OS, I could only add files from windows to the android. With the tripleboot, I use the puppy linux to access android-partition windows-partition linux-partition so I can move files wherever I want
why do I put: windows 7 pro + puppy linux 5 + android 4.0.2 RC2?
windows 7 pro is used for: internet + view documents etc + some games + karaoké …
android 4.0.2 RC2 is used for: quick access to internet + social networks + webradio + internet media …
puppy linux 5 is used for: quick internet + viewing all partitions + moving files …
I am happy with it
