Testing the Tech Preview of Vivaldi Browser

I read about the Tech Preview of Vivaldi Browser so I decide to get it and test it.

First impression,

New look is great. The combination of white, black, red and green is beautiful.

Go to Settings and I got the combination of white, black, blue – it looks like windows 8 and outlook 2010 😉

Testing the browser:

it’s pretty reactive – without lags

Checking windows processes, I open 1 session of Vivaldi Browser with 2 tabs and there are 5 vivaldi.exe in process

Can somebody tell me about these processes??

Testing some sites – very fast and impressive

Conclusion: I will try it for daily-use 🙂

  1. The multiple processes seem to be a common issue of browsers built ontop of the chromium engine.
The number of processes increases with the number of tabs you have open and you have multiple processes as soon as you open such a browser. I doubt they are a malfunction, as it is the same with many other browsers. (I d’ prefer to have them all tied up to the same process though).

For me vivaldi runs rather sluggish and slow, but I love the set of initial features and it is really stable.
For my first impression I am rather impressed. I just want it to be faster.

    Have a nice day,
    Create.
